John May Bug Museum

Anyone down for a trip to the bug museum. From what I can remember it is all dead specimens but they have A LOT to look at. Here's the site... Post if and when you'd want to go. Weekends work best for me. :)

I'm down for it. Its supposed to be specimens from Indonesia, collected from early 1900s, preserved, and displayed in natural settings.
We stopped by once a few years ago but didn't go in. If I remember right, its owned by to very elderly sisters. I have often wondered about the future of the place. I think they are the daughters or grandaughters of John May.
Anyhow, maybe there is something the club could do if the future of the place does become "questionable"
This info is from memory, and several years ago, and subject tosome innacuracy.

I'm still down. I think the last time I went there had to be close to 20 years ago. I got in trouble because I wouldn't stop making cicada noises (had just moved from Iowa).

That sounds really neat. Something we may even dare to bring the kids too, it's educational! Weekends don't work for us either.

If we can plan a trip down there on a weekday after 3 PM I can make it. Would that work for anyone?
