    Talking Howdy from NM!

Hello all! I'm new to inverts and just picked up a 2" B. smithi from Clark's pet emporium. The smithi had just molted when I bought it and one of the employees, Deb, said she thought it was a female, but to be sure she sent the molt to the president of this club! Wow, what good service they provide there. Anyway, I've already been hooked, and have 2 G. pulchripes on the way that should be here Tuesday! I'm looking forward to enjoying the hobby, and getting to know all of you.

    right on!! that's pretty cool

welcome to the world of inverts, you might get hooked...

looks like you live very near to some good friends of mine down in alb. NM also has some great blacklighting for scorpions, and some awesome species of buzztails. i always enjoy traveling down your way and seeing the variety of cool critters.

Thanks! Do you recommend a particular blacklight? I live about 800 feet from the mesa in Rio Rancho (suburb of Alb). My son and I would LOVE to go blacklighting.

I think its funny how they advertize scorpion lights as a way to get rid of scorps, and people like us use so we can have more scorps around us lol

I don't think I'm going to make it this year. I wasn't too impressed with it last year. :(
