Going to complain for a minute

I like the old format ....this new format is too busy and it deters me from posting here. K, I'm done going back to facebook now.

Hey Greg... how do you mean "too busy?" Like, too many forums?

Yeah, I liked the last one cause you could log in and easily see if someone has posted something new. Now it takes a bit longer to scan the different topics to see if there are new posts. Maybe it's just me but it seems large and overwhelming to me when I log in sometimes.

Re: Going to complain for a minute

Ah, yeah, I getcha. In the navigation bar at the top there's the "What's New?" link that would show you, theoretically, un-read posts. I don't think it works right, though, as I know there are posts I haven't read but it shows me nothing. I don't know if it's something I need to change for the site overall or if it's a personal setting thing.....

How does everyone else feel about the quantity of forums, now?

I could try something like... keeping the # of forums we have now the same but making them sub-forums..... so the main forum list will be shorter but all the forums would stay broken out once you clicked deeper.....

i guess i agree with ya greg. it was much easier to scan real quick. maybe we could do more sub-forums? i feel that with minimal traffic, less main forums is better. i dig the organization, but think it might be better deeper down.

Okies. I'll try to work this out today. I think, at least for now, paring down the pet and the "business" forums should be pretty easy......... we'll seeeeeeeee.

Did you change something? Just kidding seems less intimidating and easier to navigate. Sorry to be a pain.

Not a pain at all, Greg. I just do what I want unless someone says otherwise, haha. But this is OUR forum so I want it to be something WE ALL can enjoy... and be proud of! I do what I get told, hehe.

But seriously, let me know if you think of anything else to tweak.
