Post The Mile High Bug Club is now a Non-Profit

The Mile High Bug Club is now officially a non-profit organization!

I filed the articles of incorporation and paid the fee this morning. Now we are "legit" in the eyes of organizations that have previously turned me down for meeting space and club activities.

We are NOT tax-exempt. That's way more paperwork than I care to tackle this morning.... and it would involve changing club dynamics which isn't something I can decide to do on my own.

Congrats to the Bug Club and thanks for all you do. For the Tax exempt part doesn't that require like that we have like officers and crap like that? I know for my paranormal group we have to vote each year on officers to keep ours.

Yup, yup. I think if for three years in a row we've thrown around the idea of having, like, a club structure and it's never happened it prolly will not happen, hahaha.... But, who knows, maybe if we get big enough we'll HAVE to.

I'm sorry I have a tendency of doing that... I get involved in something and suddenly two months have passed and I relize I hadn't checked up on lately.

I just saw your facebook postings and was concerned so I thought I'd check out what was happening... that and though I couldn't do anythign in May I wondered what kind of things were planned for the summer.

We're working on planning stuff now. This week has been horrible for me to sit down and get my thoughts straight (just because I've been sick, packing/moving... after finding out we're pretty much homeless, hahaha... long story.)

Next week! Next week will be field trip announcements! Yes!
