    Invertebrate Podcast??

I figured this forum may be the best one to ask about this.
How many of our members listen to or have listed to podcasts?
Podcast are basically download-able "radio" shows that come in any one of a 1000 different subjects.
Question is, how interested would anyone be in hearing a radio show (podcast only of course) about invertebrate keeping?
I imagine this show would be a half hour to 45 minute show every 2 weeks or so.
I already have several show ideas, just want to take a small survey of who'd be interested and if you have particular interests of what you'd want to hear.

    Thanks for your time!

I'm interested, of course, and still available to help! I'd have to say I prolly am tarantula-d out and would like to hear about other inverts... or changes in the tarantula hobby (discoveries, re-namings, etc...)

We could even do webcasts! That's something entirely different, though.

I do plan on making it varied as to the species discussed although with the audience base that probably more tarantula based, that may need to be the majority of topics for the show.

Where else have you gotten feedback on this? Have you posted on any, like, cockroach or scorpion forums?

Nope frankly I'm keeping publicity low key until the first episode.

I think I like Arachnocast and The Exoskeleton Audio Magazine as a tie for best.
I still need to buy a quality USB microphone to be able to record the podcast.

Well, if you want it to be an invertebrate podcast don't limit yourself with Arachnocast. ...the same w/ The Spider's Web.

In the meantime Eric has a microphone I'm sure you could borrow... it's not a USB but he records directly to his computer... with some jack contraption, hahaha... I'm all techy.

Well I bought a nice USB noice canceling microphone/headset so now all I need to do is write the first show.

Definitely would listen to it. I don't have the drive to do it myself but I'm sure I could figure out a few ideas. I'm glad you decided to do one that talked about all invertebrates rather than tarantulas and scorpions.

The dream has not died, just massively interrupted.
My next steps may be to purchase my MacBook Pro which I want to use as my recording device/studio.
In the mean time I may record a couple intro or practice episodes with my current laptop.
