    The Invert Shipping Thread

It is usually illegal to ship and/or receive shipped venomous animals.

Here are shipping carriers live animal policies:
    UPS
USPS (Special warning... this policy is very vague. Post Offices usually have posters/flyers around saying it is illegal to ship live animals. Just because the website isn't detailed doesn't mean it's legal to ship, say, spiders for example.)

Also, please note it is illegal to ship and/or receive a shipment to/from overseas if you do not have permits and/or if the person you're shipping to does not have a permit. Getting caught illegally shipping internationally could mean fines, jail time and having all of your pets (not just the animals you were shipping) seized.

When shipping it is your responsibility to know the laws. In addition to carrier rules many states have their own laws you must abide by. For one example it is illegal to ship cockroaches to FL; another example is it's illegal to ship walking insects to CA. Please thoroughly research shipping laws prior to shipping.
